LeBron James speaks up on walk-off tantrum after loss to the Heat

The Miami Heat put together an amazing performance in Game 3 of theNBA Finals to silence their critics and prove that they belong in basketball’s ultimate stage, dominating Anthony Davis, LeBron James, and the Los Angeles Lakers from start to finish.

Miami led all the way and even though the Lakers managed to cut the deficit and even get the lead for a couple of minutes, they finished the game strong on both ends of the floor en route to an impressive 115-104 win.

However, it was LeBron James the one who stole the show and not for the best reasons, as he threw a tantrum and walked offthe court with 10 seconds left on the clock, thus causing a delay of game violation.

So, when asked about whether he walked offthe court because he thought the game was over or just because he was frustrated, the 35-year-old veteran simply said “both,” clearly angry about the question and the situation overall.

LeBron is a fierce competitor and even though some of his haters claim that he doesn’t care whether he wins or losses, that couldn’t be more farther the truth, especially in this kind of situation.

James has openly admitted that he misses his family and wants to get out of the bubble as soon as possible, and losing a game will prolong his stay at Orlando for, at least, a couple of days.

Moreover, James is well aware of the fact that sweeping a team in the NBA Finals is only going to make his legacy and résumé even more impressive. Now, he’ll have to wait at least another year to have a shot at a sweep.

The Lakers are still in control of their own destiny. They still have a 2-1 lead in the series and even though the Heat are likely to have Bam Adebayo back on the court at some point, they’re still heavily-favored by bookmakers to win the NBA championship this year.
