It’s pretty safe to say that Paul Pierce and LeBron James don’t like each other. In fact, you could say that the Boston Celtics’ legend really hates LeBron’s guts and that wouldn’t be an overstatement whatsoever.

James and Pierce have gone back-and-forth throughout their careers. For most of that stretch, LeBron has kept their rivalry on the court and in the locker room, while Pierce has been open and outspoken on his thoughts about thLos AngelesLakersstar.

That’s why it wasn’t surprising to see ‘The Truth’ firing hot takes towards LeBron James‘ way once again even when it’s uncalled for, going as far as to say that the current generation is scared of him.

Paul Pierce: “This Generation Is Scared Of LeBron James”

“Players today are scared of LeBron. If they see LeBron standing in front of them, fear shakes in them. I know this. My era is out the league, we weren’t afraid of LeBron. But these guys today, he strikes fear into these guys,” Paul Pierce said on ESPN.

Even though Pierce’s comments towards LeBron should always be taken with a grain of salt, this time, he may be on to something. It’s true that James’ presence intimidates younger players when they face off, there’s no denying that.

LeBron James also gets a lot of calls from the referees and sometimes it feels like he gets away with anything he wants, even coming from the league’s executives. That’s the kind of stripes you earn when you’ve been the face of the league for nearly two decades and are still going strong 17 years later.

It’s also true that players today are more like comrades, while Pierce’s generation didn’t actually care for their rivals and thrived off pure hate. Then again, it feels like yet another uncalled shot from Paul.
