Cam Newton knows he has a big responsibility now, for him and his team, the New England Patriots. The talented quarterback started this season very well before an injury damaged his good moment and the Patriots’. Newton was entering some sort of a revenge season and now he’s struggling once again.
Not even playing under Bill Belichick has made a big difference for Newton and they have a big responsibility on Monday night against the New York Jets for Week 9 of the 2020 NFLseason. New York hasn’t won their first of the season and losing to them would be too much for Cam and his teammates.
Well, the 2015 NFL MVP has made sure to send big messages to his teammates, encouraging them with some analogies that could pump the mood of anybody. Newton believes the Pats’ offense isa couple of steps away from flourishing and becominga huge threat to the rest of the league.
Cam Newton urges Patriots to‘keep stacking bricks’
‘Super Cam’ picked a very curious analogy to motivate his teammates ahead of their Week 9 game against divisional rivals Jets. He knows they must win this game and anythingbut a victory will be a terrible result for them. After parting ways with Tom Brady last season, the Patriots haven’t had their prior regularity.
Cam is doing his best, but so far things aren’t working for them. A loss to the Jets would bring New England to 2-6, making things even more difficult for them.
“But all in all, as an offense, I think we’re extremely close,” Cam Newton said. “If we just keep stacking bricks on top of bricks on top of bricks, then hopefully we can put a full 60 minutes together this weekend.”
They still have eight weeks to turn things around and prove that they can be successful with Brady. This season is very important for Cam and he is ready to show everybody he can still lead a team to compete.
