Bills star Josh Allen reveals offseason strategy ahead of the NFL Draft

Josh Allen, the reigning NFL MVP, has returned from his offseason training with a clear focus: winning the Super Bowl. With the 2025 NFL Draft right around the corner, the Buffalo Bills quarterback shared his thoughts on this year’s prospects, his team’s outlook, and the mindset he’s adopted to pursue a championship.

Speaking to the media ahead of the draft, Allen revealed that he deliberately distanced himself from social media to stay locked in on his goals. “My strategy was deleting social media for three to four months,” Allen said. “Ignorance is bliss… I was being more intentional with my time and where my focus is at.”

The star quarterback also offered insight into how he prepared for the draft process. “A little less this year… in Beane we trust,” Allen said, referring to Bills general manager Brandon Beane. He added that this offseason has felt like one of his best yet, especially after what the team accomplished last season.

Allen also commented on the team’s latest addition, Joey Bosa. “I tried to recruit Bosa. I don’t have a lot of success with those actions, but I got this one,” the quarterback said, referencing his personal efforts in helping secure the star pass rusher.

When it comes to rookie wide receiver Keon Coleman, Allen emphasized the young talent’s mindset and preparation. “He wants to be better. He sent me a couple of long texts about wanting to be better. He has so much ability, so athletic, he’s already put on some weight and gotten stronger. He’s still so young. He has a long ways to go,” Allen explained.

GM Brandon Beane shares draft strategy

Beane spoke to the media about the Bills’ approach heading into the NFL Draft. He highlighted the depth in this year’s defensive line class, while also managing expectations about top-tier talent.

“I would say it’s a pretty good D-line draft,” Beane said. “Not 30 first-round grades we’ve entered into the draft.” As the draft approaches, both Allen and Beane are eager to see which new additions could strengthen the roster and elevate the team’s chances next season.
