Kyler Murray expects to finally achieve success in the 2025 NFL season. However, pressure has increased, as a star Arizona Cardinals teammate has announced this will be his last year playing.

Expectations for Murray are already high, and they grew even more after the lucrative contract the Cardinals gave their talented quarterback.

While Arizona doesn’t boast the strongest roster in the league, they still have a few stars Murray can count on to help silence his doubters.

Kyler Murray’s teammate to retire after 2025 NFL season

The Cardinals enter the 2025 campaign surrounded by uncertainty. The team has not been as competitive as fans hoped, and frustration is beginning to grow.

Their roster features some top players, but it’s far from the most stacked in the division. Unfortunately, one of those stars will take the field for the final time this year in pursuit of success.

Calais Campbell, the veteran defensive lineman, recently hinted that 2025 will be his last season. “I’d be very surprised if it wasn’t,” Campbell said, via Darren Urban of the Cardinals’ website.

Campbell began his NFL career with the Cardinals in 2008. He later played for the Jaguars, Ravens, Falcons, and Dolphins before returning to Arizona this year to retire with the team that first drafted him.

Throughout his career, Campbell has been a dominant force, earning six Pro Bowl selections and one All-Pro nod. The question now is — can he finish his career on a high note with the Cardinals?
