Two weeks before the start of the regular season for the Dallas Cowboys, the team’s head coach, Brian Schottenheimer, was asked if he thinks Micah Parsons will play in Week 1 against the Philadelphia Eagles. The star linebacker is currently in a contract dispute with Jerry Jones.
“I think at the end of the day we feel Micah is going to be out there when we line up against Philadelphia in 15 days or whatever it is. I feel good about that, yeah. I feel good that Micah is going to be out there against the Eagles.”
In a very surprising statement, Schottenheimer was clear that, with or without an extension, Parsons will be on the field to support other stars like Dak Prescott and CeeDee Lamb as they chase an unlikely victory against the defending Super Bowl champions.
Will Micah Parsons play for Cowboys against Eagles?
Brian Schottenheimer stated that he is confident Micah Parsons will play against the Eagles. When reporters asked if he was tired of answering so many questions about the team, the head coach remained unfazed.
“No, honestly. I mean, I know you guys have to ask the questions and I respect that. I understand that. I think my tone hasn’t changed. My answer hasn’t really changed. I’m focused on the field. I’m focused on the guys that are working. The business side of it is going to take care of itself. I could answer those questions all day long.”
