The Dallas Cowboys were struggling to win games last season butDak Prescott was playing at an MVP-level, torching his rivals and posting better numbers than most quarterbacks in the National Football League.

As you may know by now, Prescott’s breakout season came to a sudden end when he suffered a gruesome leg injury that made some question that he’ll ever go back to the field. Gladly, that wasn’t the case and he seems fully recovered now.

That’s why head coach Mike McCarthy confirmed what all Cowboys fans were waiting for: Barring a major disaster, the highest-paid player in the NFL is going to be fully cleared to take part in the training camp.

Dallas Cowboys News: Mike McCarthy Says Dak Prescott Will Be A Full-Go For Training Camp

“Yeah, I don’t have any reason not to think that,” McCarthy told Michael Gehlken of the Dallas Morning News. “I think this week in Phase Two will be a nice step in that direction.”

“I think he’ll do most things. There’s a plan in place that is coordinated with Britt [Brown] and Jim [Maurer] in the training room. But I know he feels really good. He’s had some excellent workouts here in the past couple of weeks. I see him doing most of the work,”McCarthy added.

Dak Prescott decided to bet on himself for two years instead of signing a contract extension with the Dallas Cowboys and it clearly paid off, as he recently signed a 4 year, $160 million contract with the team.

Now, he’ll have to pay Jerry Jones’ confidence back with picking up things where he left last season, as it’s been a while since the Cowboys last made the playoffs despite being the favorite out of the NFC East. This time, there will be no more room or time for excuses.
