Odell Beckham Jr and Saquon Barkley, past and present of the New York Giants, could be having big plans for this offseason. Both this men’s season ended the same way, suffering season-ending injuries.

OBJ saw his season ended in Week 7 of the 2020/21 NFL season, where he tore the anterior cruciate ligament in his left knee. He was playing great for the Cleveland Browns, who made it to the Divisional Round this year after a 18-year playoffs drought.

Barkley’s injury was a prediction of the season the Giants were going to have after he tore his ACL while running down the sideline for his team. Now their paths could be crossed after the young running back announced he’s planning to meet with Odell at some point in the offseason.

Saquon Barkley says he will ‘link up’ with Odell Beckham for their rehab

Barkley has revealed he’s planning to join OBJ in the offseason to continue the rehab of their knee injuries and the young RB has made it clear he’s ready to link up with his former teammate.

“Only thing I do know that I have planned for sure, I’m definitely going to link up with [Odell],” Barkley told Jordan Raanan of ESPN. “Obviously, Odell tore his knee a little too. I think we both need just being there. We’re really good friends. Competing with each other and pushing each other will also be good too. That’s the only thing I know for certain I will do. Everything else is up in the air.”

Added Barkley: “But obviously we both wouldn’t want to go through this, I guess you would say, but I think it’s very important that since we are really close and we know each other so well and we are two competitors and we think we can really help each other, I do think it’s important to really link up. But at the same time, we both have to come in with the mindset of getting 1 percent better each day. That’s what we have to get from each other. Any way you can get it.”

These two are ready to return at the highest level. Last season was expected to be a good one for them and it was like that for Beckham. Saquon saw his season ended really soon and nobody knows how he will return next season. They are ready to compete at the highest level again and this offseason will be key to meet their goals.
