Tom Brady is a New England Patriots legend, that goes without saying, but even legends get traded or go on to other things, as of this season the 43-year-old quarterback now plays for the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, and what a difference a year makes.

Brady and the Buccaneers are still in the running to make the NFL postseason, while the New England Patriots have officially been eliminated as of week 15. Shocking considering that the Patriots have been so dominant over the last 10 years.

Brady alone won six Super Bowls with the team and was also a part of the now infamous deflategate scandal that shocked the NFL world. A reporter asked Brady about the Patriots woes, but Brady was able to dodge the question with class.

What did Tom Brady say about the Patriots missing out on the playoffs?

Tom Brady’s response was calculated as he stated: “As far as the Patriots, they have their own thing going.. I’ve really been focused on how my play needs to be at quarterback, the execution of mine. They’re not really an opponent of mine. Obviously, I have a lot of friends there, a lot of great relationships. But they’ve been focused on what they need to do, and I’ve been trying to focus on what my job is.”

The Buccaneers can qualify for the post seasons with various scenarios but the main one is to beat the Lions and get their tenth win of the season. At this point it’s all in Tom Brady’s hands so to speak.
