Only four teams remain alive in the battle for the 2021 Gold Cup. The semifinals of the tournament, however, will also bring us another chapter for the history books between two familiar foes.

Mexico and Canada will take the pitch by storm in what will probably be the biggest Gold Cup match in which they’ve faced each other so far, but certainly not the first one.

Even though they have a background of games against each other in the Gold Cup, the upcoming semifinal affair will be one of the few times in which Mexico and Canada clashed in the knockout stages.

While the winningest Gold Cup team seems favorite for a back-to-back title this year, this could be Canada’s opportunity to beat Mexico in this tournament after a long time.
