Haiti suffered a concerning 2-1 defeat against Peru in an international friendly before the 2026 World Cup after letting a first-half lead slip away. Wilson Isidor opened the scoring for Haiti following a strong pressing sequence, giving his side the advantage after an encouraging opening half.

Peru struggled to create clear chances before the break, but their performance improved significantly in the second half. The visitors increased the pressure and began spending more time in the attacking third, forcing Haiti to defend deeper as the match progressed. Several substitutions also helped Peru gain fresh energy and momentum.
