Kylian Mbappé is one of the best players in the world, his performances since the 2018 World Cup are testament to that. Mbappé is enjoying a fantastic 2020/2021 season where he has scored 32 goals in 38 games in all competitions. Still this season has been marred by rumors of the French superstars next possible destination come next season.

A report from Manu Carreño of Deportes Cuatro in Spain has indicated that Mbappé will not resign with PSG when his contract expires in 2022 and could push for a transfer in the summer window. The report also claims that Real Madrid, long time suitors of Mbappé, have entered the fold and are set to make a huge transfer offer for the World Cup winner.

PSG is counting on their own mega offer to keep Mbappé past 2022 and they hope that the possible signing of Lionel Messi and winning this season’s Champions League is more than enough to keep Kylian Mbappé for a long time to come. Here is what is on the table for the World Cup winner to consider in the summer.

PSG are not taking this situation lightly; the Paris club has offered Kylian Mbappé a 30 million euro a year salary if he resigns with the team. The contract also includes bonuses and percentages to make his yearly salary bigger each year, although the length of the offer has not been disclosed unofficially.

The contract, plus PSG’s possibilities of signing Lionel Messi in the summer are seen as the two main cards for PSG to keep the forward at the club. In January, Mbappé told the media, “I will need to make a decision soon but I am thinking about it. I don’t want to sign a contract and say a year later that I want to leave. If I sign it is to stay and that deserves time to reflect on my decision.”

PSG is also in good standing in the UEFA Champions League, and this is seen as an opportunity to keep Mbappé longer, especially after the team’s 3-2 win over last year’s winners Bayern Munich in the first leg of the quarter finals where Mbappé scored two goals.

For Real Madrid, Kylian Mbappé is one of two key signings the Spanish giants want to make in the summer. Florentino Pérez’s main objective this off season is to sign the French star and Earling Haaland, although both would command huge transfers and it seems unlikely that Madrid can sign both.

According to reports Earling Haaland would command a transfer fee in the range of $150 million Euros, while Mbappé could possibly top or equal that value, nonetheless Real Madrid knows that at 22 and based off of past statements by Mbappé, they could wait one more season and sign him on a pre contract when his current PSG deal finishes.
