The summer transfer window is getting close and there are countless updates on different players every day. The MLS isn’t unrelated to these kinds of news as the latestreports have linked Gareth Bale with a possible move to the Los Angeles Galaxy.
The Wales international, who hasrecently suffered the team’sEuro 2020 elimination at the hands of Denmark, has to return to Real Madrid after a loan spell with Tottenham Hotspur. However, according to journalist Nicolò Schira, he wouldn’t be in Carlo Ancelotti‘s plans, and the Galaxy have begun talks to sign him.
Bale, 31, has spent his last few seasons at the Bernabeu more often outside than inside the field as Zinedine Zidane wouldn’t count on him anymore. His return to North London turned out well, but that might not be enough to provide him a new chance with Los Blancos.
A new chapter for Bale in the MLS?
After spending months watching his team from the sidelines, Gareth Bale went back to the Spurs, where he rose to stardom before joining the Merengues. Even though he struggled at the beginning, the winger eventually found his best form and scored 16 goals in 34 appearances.
It wasn’t a season to remember for Tottenham, but the Welsh superstar got the playing minutes he was looking for before the European Championship. However, now it could be a different story for Bale, whose future is up in the air.
He is under contract with Real Madrid until 2022, and it remains uncertain whether he will have a new chance with the first team. Ancelotti’s return to the Bernabeu seemed to indicate that Bale could have an opportunity of redemption with the manager that signed him in 2013.
However, according to Nicolò Schira, the Italian boss wouldn’t consider the Welsh player for his second stint in Madrid and Los Angeles Galaxy have already inquired about the possibility of landing him.
Bale turns 32 on July 16, and while there are growing concerns about what the future holds for him, a move to the MLS might be on the cards, unless he shockingly decides to hang up the boots, as many rumors claim. Either way, the Galaxy have already moved fast to approach Gareth Bale, whose arrival to the league would mean a massive upgrade.
