Cristiano Ronaldo has returned to the pitch with the same hunger as ever. The Portuguese star scored the equalizer for Al Nassr in the friendly match against Toulouse FC at Untersberg-Arena.

In the 33rd minute, Ronaldo received a fantastic pass from Brazilian forward Wesley and, alone in the box, made no mistake with his finish to level the score at 1-1. The French side had taken the lead in the 25th minute through Yan Gboho.

This is Al Nassr’s second friendly ahead of the 2025-26 season. The Saudi Arabian side is coming from a difficult season, in which the team didn’t lift any trophies. Ronaldo, who is 40 years old, signed a contract extension with the club through the end of the 2026–27 season.

In 2025, Ronaldo has scored 22 goals in 26 official appearances for club and country. While in Saudi Arabia success has been elusive, he is coming from helping Portugal win the UEFA Nations League, scoring the 1-1 to maintain his country in the match.

Joao Felix’s debut with Al Nassr

Meanwhile, the match against Toulouse also marked Joao Felix’s debut for Al Nassr. The 25-year-old forward joined from Chelsea for a reported fee of €30 million and signed a two-year contract.

According to reports, Ronaldo played a key role in the signing, which is further proof of his growing influence within the club. This is not surprising, as The Guardian reports that Ronaldo’s new contract includes a 15% ownership stake in Al Nassr.

Al Nassr’s next matches

After this friendly, Al Nassr will face Spanish club Almeria at the Estadio Mediterraneo on Sunday, August 10. Then, they will play the Saudi Super Cup against Al Ittihad on August 19.
