<p>Throughout the course of history, the<strong> Duke Blue Devils </strong>have been a never-ending source of <a href="https://bolavip.com/en/nba" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">NBA</a>-caliber talent. They’ve had some of the most prominent players in league history.</p>



<p>As of now<strong>, three former first-overall picks</strong> (Kyrie Irving, Zion Williamson, and Anthony Davis) are still in the league, and we have other former Duke stars like Jayson Tatum, Brandon Ingram, RJ Barrett, Jalen Johnson, and Dereck Lively II also going strong.</p>



<p>Even so, the Blue Devils <strong>might take things even further in the NBA next season</strong>. As reported by Derek Parker of Sports Illustrated, <a href="http://bolavip.com/en/topic/cooper-flagg" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">Cooper Flagg </a>will headline a class of three potential lottery picks from Jon Scheyer’s team.</p>

<p>“<strong><em>The combo forward will undoubtedly go No. 1, it’s only now a matter of where,”</em></strong> Parker wrote. <em>“Additionally, Duke will see two other likely lottery picks in sharpshooter Kon Knueppel and 7-foot center Khaman Malauach. Both have a range as high as No. 4 per most experts, and are rarely, if ever, left out of the lottery entirely.”</em></p>

<p>The Huskies will get their star sharpshooter back for a little longer. Karaban was expected to pursue his lifelong dream of turning pro and <strong>declaring for the<a href="https://bolavip.com/en/nba" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener"> NBA </a>Draft before withdrawing from the event.</strong></p>



<p>Nevertheless, as big a news as that was, Jon Rothstein of CBS Sports reported that the Huskies will now lose veteran guard <strong>Aidan Mahaney,</strong> who will transfer to play for the UC Santa Barbara Gauchos.</p>

<p>This will be his third program, as Mahaney also played for the Saint Mary Gaels for two years before joining UConn. He earned<strong> First-team All-WCC honors</strong> in both years there.</p>

<p>Needless to say, that puts <strong>Jon Scheyer, </strong>who coached the team to a 35-4 record and a Final Four berth last season, in a tough position to replenish the pool of talent in Durham.</p>



<p>Fortunately for him, the Blue Devils were able to land <strong>Cedric Coward,</strong> one of the most sought-after players in the transfer portal, and he couldn’t be more excited about this new chapter. </p>

<p><strong><em>“The whole starting five, they’re leaving,”</em></strong> Coward said. <em>“So, how are they going to replace that? Then again, I looked at it from a perspective, you got Caleb Foster, me, the Boozer twins, Pat Ngongba, and Isaiah Evans. Like, we got killers on this team and the shortest guy is 6’4.”</em></p>

<p>Of course, he’s also aware of the fact that he’s not necessarily going to be the main star or the go-to guy. Given how much talent they have, h<strong>e’ll have to make some sacrifices:</strong></p>



<p>“<em>This is a team full of stars, and it’s a team full of guys that are killers and just want to do whatever it is that can help us win,”</em> he added. “<strong><em>Each guy has the potential and the ability to do anything on any given night.”</em></strong></p>

He wasn’t a good or popular player in the league, but he’s made the most of other players’ platforms to voice his thoughts.</p>



<p>Notably, his latest rant didn’t rub one of his former teammates the right way. HE called out legendary <strong>UNC coach Roy Williams</strong> for not being with him during the NBA Draft, and Raymond Felton wasn’t having it.</p>



<p>That’s why, during the latest edition of his “To The Baha” podcast, he told fellow hosts Theo Pinson, Tyler Relph, and Kameron Wilkerson <strong>that McCants was ‘a clown’ for that statement.</strong></p>

<p>Felton then doubled down on his criticism by mocking McCants for his failed NBA career, adding that he had<strong> no one to blame but himself</strong> for not being able to stay there for long:</p>

<p>Ironically, Tamba also played for the Volunteers, but he was nowhere near the player Maze was when he was there. He helped the team reach the Elite Eight for the first time in program history, averaging 9<strong>.4 points as a senior.</strong></p>

<p>It makes sense that <strong>UCLA center Lauren Betts</strong> gets the nod as the top selection. Then again, as good as Fudd is, having her ahead of the likes of Ta’Niya Latson or Olivia Miles seems like a bit of a reach.</p>

<p>Geno Auriemma has been in charge of the <strong>UConn Huskies</strong> for four full decades. He’s led the team to the National Championship 12 times, including his latest rip just three weeks ago.</p>



<p>Given his age, there has always been speculation about whether this could be his final run, and one could argue that there would be no better moment to walk away <strong>than as a champion.</strong></p>



<p>However, that’s not on his mind right now. Shortly after winning the title with Paige Bueckers at the helm, he made it loud and clear that<strong> he’s not calling it quits anytime soon. </strong></p>



<h2>Geno Auriemma isn’t going anywhere</h2>



<p>“<em>Who knows when that morning I wake up and I just say, ‘Listen, I can’t do it anymore,’</em>” Auriemma said. <em><strong>“But I don’t see that being tomorrow morning, let’s put it that way.”</strong></em></p>

<p>Despite being a seasoned veteran and not having anything else to accomplish or prove at this point, Coach Auriemma seems to think that<strong> age is just a number</strong> for him:</p>



<p><strong>“I think when you have the kind of work experience that I have, every day I’m surrounded by people who are alive, they’re young, they’re moving, they’re growing, and you get swept up in all that,”</strong> Auriemma said. “<em>I’m 71 by numbers, but I don’t know that I feel that because every day I’m surrounded by young people. They can call me ‘Gramps’ or ‘Pops’ or whatever they want to call me, but at the end of the day, I feel like I’m having an impact on them, and they’re having an impact on me.”</em></p>

<p>At the end of the day, Auriemam is still clearly relevant, and it’s not like his ways have grown outdated. If he wants to say, <strong>there’s simply no reason to show him the door.</strong></p>

<p>That’s the case with <strong>Kiyan Anthony,</strong> who will follow in his father’s footsteps and, like Carmelo Anthony, try to lead the <strong>Syracuse Orange</strong> all the way to a National Championship.</p>



<p>Anthony grew up around the likes of Dwyane Wade, Chris Paul, and LeBron James. However, none of them are his favorite players. Instead, it’s actually<strong> Paul George.</strong></p>

<p><strong><em>“That’s been my favorite player since a long time,”</em></strong> Kiyan said in a recent interview. “<em>I just look up to him. I feel like I have some similarities too. I just love the way he play.”</em></p>

<p>Standing at 6-foot-5, Anthony is the No. 1 player in the state of New York, the No. 7 shooting guard, and the <strong>No. 35 player in his class,</strong> and he’s projected to be a top selection in the 2026 NBA Draft.</p>

<p>With that in mind, Wings general manager <strong>Curt Miller</strong> reached out to coach Geno Auriemma to pick his brains about how to deal with the star guard. Talking on the No Offseason: The Athletic Women’s Basketball Show, Miller revealed what the legendary coach told him.</p>

<p>“<strong><em>I think the thing that Geno shares, and he will share it in press conferences, is that you’ve gotta live with her, because she’s so intelligent, you’ve got to live with some of the gambling that she does,</em></strong>” Miller said. <em>“He shared some stories that, instead of locking and trailing, attacking and tracing a great player off of a screen, she shoots a gap to go make a momentum-changing steal in a game. And sometimes it doesn’t always work out.”</em></p>

<p>At the end of the day, it’s not just about being the best player. You need to be coachable, understand your role, and constantly look for ways to get better, even <strong>when you don’t always agree</strong>.</p>

<p>However, that’s not what makes him a unique player. When asked about that, the young forward claimed that as much as he loved being flashy<strong>, he was all about making the right play first. </strong></p>

<p>Collins is a<strong> 6-foot-8 combo forward</strong> with two-way upside, and he’s currently the third prospect in the nation behind only his teammate Brandon McCoy and Tyran Stokes.</p>

<p>You can’t talk about women’s basketball without mentioning <strong>Dawn Staley’s </strong>name multiple times. That’s why the city of Columbia in South Carolina has decided to give her some flowers.</p>



<p>The city announced that they will be unveiling a statue of the renowned coach on campus. She’s been there for <strong>17 years,</strong> and she’s led them to seven Final Fours and three NCAA Championships.</p>



<p>Staley has also been named the <strong>Naismith Coach of the Year </strong>four times, the AP National Coach of the Year twice, and she’s also earned seven SEC Coach of the Year distinctions. </p>

<p>“<strong><em>This tribute celebrates not only her championship legacy as a coach and player, but also her unwavering commitment to leadership, community empowerment, and uplifting future generations,”</em></strong> the statement read. <em>“Dawn Staley’s influence continues to inspire both on and off the court, and this statue stands as a lasting symbol of excellence, resilience, and pride for Columbia and the entire state of South Carolina.”</em></p>

<p>Needless to say, this is a much-deserved honor for one of the most accomplished athletes in U.S. sports’ history, not only as a player but also as <strong>a renowned women’s basketball coach. </strong></p>

<p>Per the announcement, there will be a statue unveiling ceremony on Wednesday, April 30, at 4:00 pm (Eastern Time) at 900 Senate St. in Columbia, and the statue will be located right next to the<strong> Pastides Alumni Center.</strong> </p>

<p>The Duke Blue Devils have officially lost another player to the 2025 NBA Draft. This time, South Sudanese big man <strong>Khaman Maluach</strong> announced his late decision to enter the draft.</p>



<p>Maluach will now join the likes of<a href="http://bolavip.com/en/topic/cooper-flagg" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener"> Cooper Flagg</a>, Kon Knueppel, and Tyrese Proctor in the pros. He averaged <strong>8.6 points, 6.6 rebounds, and 1.3 blocks per game on 71.2% from the floor.</strong></p>



<p>He waited until the eleventh hour to declare his intention to join the NBA Draft. Shortly after, Blue Devils coach<strong> Jon Scheyer</strong> gushed about how much he loved him and how much he would miss him.</p>
