Most people around the world have heard about the National Football League. But maybe, NCAA College Football is even more passionate and popular all across the United States, even among non-sports fans.
College Football season brings people together. Everybody roots for their team, and some gamblers even make a yearās worth of savings throughout the campaign. Thatās just how big of an event this is.
Nonetheless, the playoff-seeding system isnāt always fair. The 25 best teams are ranked by a committee of 13 people, with just 8 of them getting an actual shot to win the FBS National Championship.
How Do The NCAA Football Playoffs Work?
As we mentioned before, a committee of experts (mostly former coaches, players, or athletic coordinators) gets together to rank the best 25 programs in the nation. Thatās according to their performance, roster, record, and strength of schedule.
Then, at the end of the year, they choose up to 4 teams to play against another 4, including teams with at least 10 wins and 1 or nolosses. Then again, even though their list isnāt official, the APās Top 25 ranking is often more popular than the FBSā.
