Trevor Bauer is the biggest name still up for grabs in the MLB offseason. The reigning Cy Young award winner is one of the best pitchers in the world and there should be plenty of teams lining up to sign him.

However, given his financial aspirations and the Covid-19 context, there aren’t likely to be that many suitors for his services at this point. Also, his outspoken character may have scared away a team or two.

Then again, it seems like the former Cincinnati Reds star could be pretty close to taking the next step in his career, and, judging by the latest reports, his future is likely to beon the West Coast.

Los Angeles Dodgers Could Join Los Angeles Angels In The Race For Trevor Bauer

According to MLB Trade Rumors, the Los Angeles Dodgers have now joined the Los Angeles Angels in their interest to sign Trevor Bauer, citing reports by ESPN’s Jeff Passan and MLB Networks’ Jon Heyman:

The Los Angeles Dodgers are monitoring the market for right-hander Trevor Bauer and could be a player depending on the price, sources tell ESPN. Focus for the Dodgers now remains on a right-handed infield bat, but Bauer and the Dodgers remain a possibility as his market develops,” Passan said.

“Dodgers have checked in on Trevor Bauer and are believed to have interest on a short-term deal. Word is, he’d love to be in SoCal , and he’s said he’d consider short deals. Dodgers showed short-term interest in Greinke and Harper but stars usually prefer the biggest haul,” added Heyman.

However, most insiders believe that Bauer is going to end up with the Angels, as the team has more money to spend right now and is more desperate for top-tier pitching after countless years of failures.

Whatever the case may be, we can be sure that Bauer is going to get a huge sum of money in his next contract, and that he’ll provide a much-needed boost from the mound that is worthy of dealing with his untamable personality.
