Travis Jankowski is returning to the New York Mets, getting a second chance with the team. In his most recent comments, Jankowski made it clear he’s ready to do whatever is needed—whatever manager Carlos Mendoza asks of him.

“I’ve played every day, I’ve come off the bench, pinch hit, pinch ran, defensive replacement… everything but pitch,Jankowski said. “And if [Carlos Mendoza] asks me to pitch, I’ll go out there and eat an inning up.

To Mets fans, Jankowski shared a heartfelt message: “To the fans, thanks for everything. I’m not sure why you guys love me, but I’ll take it. Hopefully I can keep the support.” He played just 43 MLB games with the Mets in 2022 and most recently saw major league time with the Rays.
