For years, NBA fans all over the world have engaged in the never-ending debate on the greatest player of all time. And, as you may know by now, itās almost impossible to reach a consensus.
Old-school fans will always lean towards Michael Jordan or older players, while younger fans would claim that LeBron James has done enough merits already to become the undisputed GOAT.
Thatās why the guys from āI Am An Athleteā had to settle the debate once and for all and asked a guy who grew up looking forward to Jordan but actually played side by side with LeBron: Dwyane Wade.

āI come from the Jordan era, so Iām biased. Michael Jordan will always be my GOATā¦ I played basketball because of Michael Jordanā¦ All of us have our own individual opinionsā¦ LeBron is going to be the GOAT for a lot of generationsā¦ [Jordan] will be my GOATā¦ I made it out of the hood because Iāve seen a dude, number 23 play the game of basketball at a level where I was like I want to do some of that,ā Wade confessed.
Wade Says LeBron Could Still Become The GOAT
āLeBron is one of my good friends, I have so much respect for what heās doing now, what heās done, and what he will eventually doā¦ It will definitely be an argument that needs to be had. If LeBron ends up the number scorer of all-time, top five in assists and top five rebounds, with four, five, or six championships, you cannot do nothing but have the conversation of who is the GOAT,ā Wade concluded.
Well, thatās a pretty objective answer, and itās coming from someone who saw firsthand Jordanās prime as a Chicago kid and that was right there with LeBron when he won his first two rings. So I donāt know about you, guys, but Iām cool with Wadeās opinion.
