This season had the most controversial All-Star Weekend of all time. For starters, it wasn’t a weekend, it was a full day of All-Star-related events. The players felt like it wasn’t safe to play because they’ve barely rested this season, and the fact that Ben Simmons and Joel Embiid couldn’t play due to contact tracing and safe & healthy protocols only made it worst.
The NBA decided to carry on with the All-Star Game nonetheless, and even though it was fun, it just wasn’t the same without fans in attendance. Hopefully, this will be the first and last time something like this happens.
Team LeBron Jamescompletely thrashed Team Kevin Durant, getting a double-digit win and staying in control for the whole game, and other than the three-point contest, there weren’t many things to remember about this game.
The fans didn’t care for their Nascar-themed jerseys, the Slam Dunk contest was one of the least exciting of all time, and the game wasn’t even that close. That’s why fans didn’t hesitate to voice their thoughts online about it, posting some hilarious memes and reactions on social media.

The best part about the All-Star Game is that it’s over. Now, the players, teams, coaches, and even fans can just plan ahead to the most important stretch of the season: The trade deadline and the second half of the campaign. The players need to get some rest and heal their bodies before resuming the season and leave it all on the court.
There’s not a true favorite this year, with the Philadelphia 76ers and Utah Jazz leading their conferences but many teams like the Brooklyn Nets or Phoenix Suns looming around to try and make a splash in the second half of the season.
