Kanye West is used to being in the spotlight. He’s clearly got a special talent and is one of the most influential hip-hop artists ever. He’s got a huge fanbase that supports every single one of his endeavors, even among NBA players.

However, it’s clear that’s something’s going on with him. West has recently stolen a lot of headlines for the wrong reasons, as he’s been filmed crying and addressing the public with some pretty head-scratching comments.

His wife Kim Kardashian went as far as to claim that she was worried about him and that he’s been struggling with mental health issues, which would be the only reason to explain his recent behavior.

Kanye West Calls The NBA A Slave Ship

Last night, ‘Yeezy’ took it to his Twitter account to call himself ‘The New Moses’, as well as claiming that ‘he’s people’ are being slaved and calling out Universal, Sony, and even the NBA modern-day slave ships.

“I need to see everybody’s contracts at Universal and Sony. I’m not gonna watch my people be enslaved. I’m putting my life on the line for my people. The music industry and the NBA are modern day slave ships. I’m the new Moses,” West tweeted.

It’s not the first time that Kanye has been on the wrong side of the NBA community as he’s an outspoken supporter of President Donald Trump, who has gone back-and-forth with LeBron James, Steve Kerr, Gregg Popovich, and many others.

However, West is a regular presence in Los Angeles Lakers or Chicago Bulls‘ games and he’s even performed at half-time in playoff games. That’s yet another reason why thesecomments may not make that much sense.

Hopefully, Kanye’s just being Kanye: a disruptive artist who’s not that easy to understand. If not, we truly hope he gets the assistance and support he needs to get over whatever he’s going through.
