No one, not even the most optimistic Slovenia, Real Madrid, and Dallas Mavericks fan ever thought that Luka Doncic was going to be this good this far. He had huge potential and upside, but it usually takes young players a little longer to get their legs under them.

Doncic has dominated the NBA at will since day one. He's proving that he should've had been the first-overall pick of the Draft despite not being exactly athletic or fast, and he looks like the kind of generational talent that could lead a franchise for over a decade.

Last night, the third-year point forward showcased his full repertoire again, leading his team to a road win over the Indiana Pacers with 13 points, 12 rebounds, and 12 assists, piling yet another triple-double.

Luka Doncic Joins Magic Johnson And Oscar Robertson In Triple-Double Club

With those stats, Luka Doncic became the youngest player to reach 30 career triple-doubles, and topped Magic Johnson as the player who needed the second-fewer games to pull that off. He did it in just 146 games, while Magic did it in 190. Notably, he only trails the legendary Oscar Robertson, who needed just 75 games to reach that mark.

Doncic's ability to stuff the stat sheet and do a little bit of everything makes him a fan favorite in terms of fantasy basketball. But more importantly, those aren't just empty stats as it often happens with other stars; he actually helps his team by putting up those kinds of numbers.

The Dallas Mavericks have had a shaky start of the season due to multiple injuries and Covid-19 related issues but once they're back at full strength, they'll be one of the biggest dark horses in the Western Conference, especially if Doncic continues to perform at such an elite level and Kristaps Porzingis manages to stay healthy.
