The 2021 NBA draft class includes many promising talents such as Cade Cunningham and Jalen Green, among others, while some powerful teams will be aiming for a comeback. LeBron James and Russell Westbrook have joined forces to gettheLos Angeles Lakers back to the top, while Stephen Curryâs Golden State Warriors will be also chasing redemption.
But it will be a long year and full of ambitious teams, with the mighty Brooklyn Nets also set for revenge this season. Here, letâs take a look at the date of the NBA opening day and its games.
NBA opening night 2021: Date and games
The National Basketball Association has released the first dates of next seasonâs schedule, and the opening day will be a must-watch. The 2021-2022 NBA opening night will take place on Tuesday, October 19, with two mouth-watering games.

First, James Hardenâs Nets will take on Giannis Antetokounmpo and the reigning champions Bucks at 7:30 PM (ET). Later, the Warriors will come up against the Lakers at Staples Center at 10 PM (ET).
We are almost two months away from the 2021/22 NBA season kick-off, and obviously we canât wait for these two thrilling games to arrive. But in the meantime, letâs mark this date on our calendars and make sure we donât miss them.
