The popular basketball videogame will enable fans to play with the new-look Los Angeles Lakers, among many other teams who have made changes during the offseason. On Wednesday,NBA 2Kstarted to reveal the player ratings.
Needless to say, there were thousands of reactions and people couldn’t agree about what the right ranking would be, and even the game’s biggest stars have shared their thoughts on their own ratings.

NBA 2K has begun to leak the player ratings starting with the Top 10, followed by some famous names and specific ratings by nationality. These are theTop 10 overall ratings of the NBA 2K22:

- Kevin Durant – 96 OVR
- Giannis Antetokounmpo – 96 OVR
- Stephen Curry – 96 OVR
- Kawhi Leonard – 95 OVR
- Nikola Jokic – 95 OVR
- Joel Embiid – 95 OVR
- Luka Doncic – 94 OVR
- James Harden – 94 OVR
- Damian Lillard – 94 OVR
Kevin Durant had previously said he expected a 99 overall rating… As expected, not everyone was pleased with these ratings, especially the players themselves. Even LeBron James complained about KD and Steph’s ratings, saying they should be 99.
Atlanta Hawks‘ young sensation Trae Young, who was given an 89 OVR rating,showed disappointment, while Boston Celtics‘ starJason Tatum was also expecting a higher rating than90.
Fans were also kind of shocked as Khris Middleton and Jrue Holiday of thereigning Milwaukee Bucks were given 88 and 85, respectively. The NBA 2K ratings always give room for plenty of debate, and this time it wasn’t the exception.
