The National Basketball Association is perhaps the most popular sports league in the whole world. With superstars of the likes of Stephen Curry and LeBron James, there's not a place on Earth where it doesn't have any fans.

That's why hoops fans don't want to wait a single second between seasons. So, now that the 2020/21 NBA campaign has come to an end, we already want to know when we'll watch basketball again.

The Phoenix Suns and Milwaukee Bucksstarred in an exciting NBA Finals series but all good things come to an end eventually. So, when will the next NBA season start? Let's break it down for you.

When Does The Next NBA Season Start?

The 2021/22 NBA regular season - which will be the 76th season in league history - will start on October 2021 and finish in April 2022. Then, the playoffs will start and go all the way through June 2022.

The league will finally go back to its regular schedule from before the COVID-19 pandemic. Let's remember that the 2019/20 season was halted due to the pandemic and the league rushed teams back into action for this campaign.

The season will go back to its usual schedule of 82 games rather than this year's 72. Moreover, the play-in tournament will come back for at least another season after the success they had in the past couple of years.

The 2021/22 All-Star Game - and All-Star Weekend will take place at the Rocket Mortgage Fieldhouse in Cleveland, home of the Cleveland Cavaliers. The game will be played on February 20, 2022.

The NBA playoffs will tentatively begin on April 16, 2022, and the NBA Finals will start on June 2, 2022. If needed, Game 7 of the NBA Finals will take place no further than June 19, as per the Association.
