The NBA announced the starters for the upcoming All-Star Game, set to be held on March 7 in Atlanta. This decision was surrounded by a lot of controversies after several players showed their disagreement with the decision, citing the league’s first statement about the game.
Well, now it is happening and nothing is changing that. The association announced their schedule for the day and how things will go down at State Farm Arena in a couple of days from now.
The starters from the Eastern and Western Conference were announced today and as usual, they drew a lot of controversies. NBA fans were quick to go to Twitter to react to the list and showed their disagreement with it. LeBron James was selected as captain of the West and Kevin Durant is the captain of the East.

In the Western Conference, people started complaining about Damian Lillard and the fact that he’s not part of the starting lineup in the conference. The Portland Trail Blazers star has been on a tear recently and a lot of fans were shocked that he wasn’t picked as a starter for this 2021 ASG.

Deciding starters using fan vote is a joke. These guys have clauses in their contracts that reward them bonuses for all-star appearances. Things like that should not be determined by fan vote. Let the coaches or media decide everything. LA fans voting millions of times is lame.
