The starters from the Eastern and Western Conference were announced today and as usual, they drew a lot of controversies. NBA fans were quick to go to Twitter to react to the list and showed their disagreement with it. LeBron James was selected as captain of the West and Kevin Durant is the captain of the East.

In the Western Conference, people started complaining about Damian Lillard and the fact that he’s not part of the starting lineup in the conference. The Portland Trail Blazers star has been on a tear recently and a lot of fans were shocked that he wasn’t picked as a starter for this 2021 ASG.
In the East, people reacted to Bradley Beal getting selected as a starter after being snubbed last year. Although his team hasn’t had the best season, becoming the 2nd-worst team in the Eastern Conference, his performances granted him this selection.
Everything is set for the big game. The reserves will be announced at a later day when the coaches pick them. The 2021 NBA All-Star Game will be a one-day event this year, with the skills challenge, 3-point contest, and slam dunk contest taking place on the same day.
