Year after year, the NBA holds its traditional Christmas day games, with fans from all over the world camping in front of their TVs for 12 hours straight to enjoy the best basketball on earth while their bodies are still recovering from that Christmas eve dinner.
Needless to say, the league always makes sure to choose nothing but the best teams and players to play on Christmas, and we often get to see a preview of a Conference Finals or even NBA Finals series.
Winning on Christmas days is one of the biggest honors for young NBA players as it gives them the ultimate stage to showcase their talents and prove to the rest of the league that they’re for real, and that’s why fans look forward to these games that much.

Nonetheless, it seems like the NBA has kind of dropped the ball for this year’s schedule, as it features games between teams that don’t actually have a rivalry and other teams that shouldn’t even be there to begin with.
NBA Christmas Day Schedule:
New Orleans Pelicans @ Miami Heat: 12:00 pm (ET)
Golden State Warriors @ Milwaukee Bucks: 2:30 pm (ET)
Brooklyn Nets @ Boston Celtics: 5:30 pm (ET)
Dallas Mavericks @ Los Angeles Lakers: 8:00 pm (ET)
Los Angeles Clippers @ Denver Nuggets: 10:30 pm (ET)
Ok, we get it, the Warriors, Bucks, Nets, Lakers, and Clippers will all be playing for an NBA Championship so they should all be there. However, besides the Clippers and Nuggets – from their recent matchup in the playoffs – these teams don’t have a true rivalry.
Moreover, it seems like Adam Silver and the NBA are just trying to shove Zion Williamson and the New Orleans Pelicans into everyone’s faces, as there’s just no reason for them to have so many primetime games dating back to last season. Obviously, some fans had a lot to say about it and we gathered the funniest memes and reactions from this questionable schedule

NBA riding Zion’s dick last season putting the Pelicans up against the defending Champion Raptors was so annoying although it did turn out to be a good game without Zion

How do the Sixers not get a christmas game? Is it because they bitched the NBA’s golden boy on Christmas last year? https://t.co/cOl0qp4cva

At the end of the day, we’re pretty sure that these teams will put on a great show and everybody will be pleased. But C’mon, what about a Lakers-Clippers, Warriors-Nets, Blazers-Rockets, Celtics-Sixers?
