It’s not a secret to anybody that LeBron James has a lot of power in the NBA. Some claim that the bubble in Orlando was made just to keep him happy, and others that the league would have shut down the season if he decided to boycott.

James has reportedly been behind a lot of moves and trades in every single team he’s been on. It goes without saying that most major changes must go through him before they pull the trigger, and that’s just a fact.

That’s why there has always been some speculation regarding a potential move from Chris Paul to the Los Angeles Lakers, considering CP3 is one of James’ closest friends and is still looking to win an NBA Championship.

And, according to a recent report, LeBron James could use his leverage to try and get the ‘Point God‘ in the purple-and-gold next season, fueled by his agent Rich Paul and Klutch Sports.

Eastern Conference Executive Says LeBron Will Get The Lakers To Trade For Chris Paul

“Chris Paul would love to come back to L.A. I know it would be a dream come true for Chris,. I know LeBron loves and trusts him and he would be a good fit,” an Eastern Conference executive told Bleacher Report.

“It seems like a risk, but sometimes you need to [execute big moves] to make yourself even better. TheWarriors will be better. The Clippers may be better. The Nuggets aren’t going to get worse. Your competition is getting better. It worked (in Orlando) for the Lakers, but I don’t know if you have a normal regular season without the bubble if it does,” the executive concluded.

Chris Paul would provide them a much-needed third scorer and another playmaker. Paired with LeBron and Anthony Davis, the Lakers would have the deadliest Big 3 in the league, even if two of those three players aren’t exactly young.

However, the Los Angeles Lakers would have to offload $33 million from their books just to absorb Paul’s massive contract, which would most likely mean breaking up their Championship-winning core.
