If you're not an NBA fan, chances are that you just know Nick Young as 'the confused meme guy'. And if you've been following hoops for the past decade or so, you know that he's not exactly a superstar.

The same can't be said about Stephen Curry. Curry has been the heart and soul of the Golden State Warriors' dynasty, one of the faces of the league, and perhaps the most influential player of his generation, for better or worse.

That's why the fans weren't having it when Nick Young tried to hold Curry accountable for missing a somewhat easy game-winning shot over the Portland Trail Blazers, so they called him out and put him in his place.

NBA Twitter Mocks Nick Young For Calling Stephen Curry Out

"We gonna let Stephen slide with that turn around miss for game lol," 'the 33-year-old guard said on Twitter.

For those who need context, Nick Young played a single season for the Golden State Warriors towards the end of his career. He came off the bench with a sixth-man role and averaged 7.3 points, 1.5 three-pointer and 1.6 rebounds per game on roughly over 17 minutes a night.

The Warriors wound up winning the NBA championship that season, not thanks to Young's contributions. Curry, on the other hand, carried the load in the offense next to Kevin Durant to lead the team to another Larry O'Brien trophy.

To be fair, Curry should, indeed, be held accountable for that missed shot, we're not going to deny that. But maybe, just maybe, the guy who rode the bench and got a free pass to a ring shuoldn't be the one calling him out. Especially if he's not even on an NBA roster anymore and is unlikely to ever play a single minute of hoops in the Association again.
