Luka Doncic has made a big impact in the NBA since the very moment he entered the league back in 2018. The Slovenian player has been a blessing for the Dallas Mavericks and he’s set to lead his team to win a championship in upcoming seasons.

The young player has a bright future ahead and one can only wonder where his roof is or what he will achieve with the Mavs in the future. Luka is only 21 and is already doing historical things in the league. What’s next for him? Nobody knows.

Still, we can see some similarities between him and some of the greatest players in NBA history to see what Luka can do in his career. He’s been labeled as the ā€œnext LeBron Jamesā€ and more, but more recently, he was compared to arguably the greatest player of all time.

Rick Carlisle compares Luka Doncic to Michael Jordan, Kobe Bryant and more

Dallas Mavericks’ head coach Rick Carlisle has compared his star player to three of the greatest players of all time, Michael Jordan, LeBron James and Kobe Bryant, given the similarities between their personalities and how they can impact the game.

During a recent interview, Carlisle made the comparison between his pupil and the three legends, stating that his imagination is incredible, which reminds him of Larry Bird, Magic Johnson, Michael Jordan, Kobe Bryant, and LeBron James.

ā€œThis is what great players and some of the savant thinkers that we’ve seen in the history of this game (do). You’re talking about guys like Bird, Magic, Jordan were very similar. LeBron James, I’m sure Kobe Bryant was a lot like this too. But as time moves along, the level of growth is really there in all areas from skill refinement to leadership on the floor in games and in practice.ā€

Doncic was a finalist for the 2020 MIP award last season and this one he’s seen as the favorite to win the 2021 NBA MVP, according to oddsmakers. The Slovenian is trying to create a legacy in the league and, as stated before, nobody knows where his improvement will stop.
