The Minnesota Timberwolves have stayed competitive in the Western Conference. They have managed to do so despite moments of inconsistency. Anthony Edwards offensive performance is one of the main reasons of the franchise competitiveness. Despite averaging 27.6 points per game, Head coach Chris Finch has demanded more blackouts. After the game, Edwards revealed that Michael Jordan inspired his recent focus on those key defensive moments.

ā€œC Hines, my trainer, told me to blackout tonight, so I tried to do that…I know people gonna love this, he sent me MJ videos every day about blacking out. I think MJ said something like, ā€˜Why would I worry about a miss if I haven’t took the shot yet?’ So, he be sending stuff like that, I appreciate him,ā€ affirmed Anthony Edwards.

Despite being an offensive star, Michael Jordan never fell short in his defensive contribution. For this reason, he is always one of the references of today’s players because he was one of the most complete players of his time. Anthony Edwards is constantly compared to Jordan. However, he strongly disagrees with those comparisons. In an interview with Fox Sports, he said, ā€œI want it to stop. He’s the greatest of all time. I can’t be compared to him.ā€
