It’s been a bittersweet couple of hours for LeBron James, for sure. The 17-year veteran led the Los Angeles Lakers to a statement win vs. the Denver Nuggets in Game 1 of the Western Conference Finals but his celebration was cut short after he saw his older son Bronny James trending on social media.
Thing is, the young King made a huge mistake on his Instagram account and accidentally posted a story of him smoking a joint to celebrate his dad’s victory, even adding “We smokin’ that Nuggets pack tonight”.
Needless to say, the 15-year-old was pretty quick to delete the Instagram stories but the damage was already done. The images flooded the internet in a matter of seconds just a couple of minutes after his father’s post-game press conference.

We all make mistakes at that age and Bronny is definitely going to have an earful for this. LeBron James has always had a reputation for being a caring father and devoted family man, so he’s definitely on top of the situation right now.
Bronny is expected to be an elite recruit for NCAA basketball and a lottery pick in the NBA Draft when his time comes and this incident isn’t likely to hurt his stock, considering his privileged gene pool. Then again, it’ll be a long time before the internet ever lets this go, so Bronny, LeBron, and the James household better be ready for even more memes until the end of time.
