Aaron Rodgers will need all the help he can get in what will be the final year of his legendary career playing for the Pittsburgh Steelers. That’s why one of the big questions is whether or not TJ Watt will remain with the team.

The star linebacker is entering the final year of his contract, so he wants to have an extension secured before the start of the 2025 season. However, the situation appears to be at a standstill.

If the Steelers want to have a real chance at competing in the Super Bowl, paying Watt seems like a no-brainer decision. Although there haven’t been many updates on the matter, Rodgers appears to have dropped hints about what might happen with the star defender.

Will TJ Watt sign contract extension with Steelers?

TJ Watt will sign a contract extension with the Pittsburgh Steelers, according to Aaron Rodgers. During an interview on The Pat McAfee Show, the quarterback hinted that the deal is imminent.

“I think that’s the thing that is really exciting about Pittsburgh. The built-in leadership that already exists there and, once we get our Hall of Fame outside rush backer signed (TJ Watt), you’re talking about another guy who’s a leader. Not just by example, but by, you know, with his words.”
