Aaron Rodgers admitted that his final decision to postpone retirement had a lot to do with Mike Tomlin. During an interview on The Pat McAfee Show, the quarterback praised his new relationship with the head coach of the Pittsburgh Steelers.
āI had conversations with Mike Tomlin every single week. It was really through those conversations that this became a reality. I think most people who come to the Steelers talk about one of the reasons being Mike Tomlin. And I can say that was right at the top. Just the conversations that we had. It felt like you were talking to an old friend honestly.ā
Tomlin has taken a big risk with Rodgers, insisting that the veteran is the key piece to winning the Super Bowl. If his experiment fails, the consequences could be very serious in Pittsburgh.
