Nearly 1 year ago, the Dallas Cowboys‘ season came to an early end after Dak Prescott fell with an injury. Now, they’re one of the hottest teams in the NFL and a legit candidate to win the division.

America’s Team once again dominated the New York Giants. Their defense looks revamped and their offense has finally found a balance between the run and the pass, and it’s been years since they looked this good.

That’s why former Las Vegas Raiders star Amari Cooper says that the team is already dreaming big and thinking of a Super Bowl. They have a championship mindset and will look to keep their foot on the gas.

NFL News: Amari Cooper Says Cowboys Are Thinking About The Super Bowl

“Our mindset is on a championship. To be a champion, you want to be clean. As an offense, our goal should be to score every drive. If we score every drive, how can you lose?” Cooper said, as quoted by The Athletic’s Jon Machota.“When you’re on a roll like this, you start thinking about a Super Bowl,” he added.

“I’m glad it’s over with,” said Cooper.“I’m glad I’m past that and I think this was the final shovel in burying this thing. As much as I’ve tried to put it off, as much as I’ve tried not to think about it, I think it just naturally does, right? And it’s in the back of your head, unconsciously or not.”

Prescott then said that Cowboys’ director of rehabilitation Britt Brown reached out to him after the game to embrace him after all he’s been through:

“He said, ‘I know what this meant to you,’ and I told him, ‘Thank you,’” Prescott said. “I told him I’m glad this is behind us. I don’t know why I was in a slow, I guess, mental fog early.”

It’s still too early to say but Prescott hasn’t missed a bit since coming back from injury and the Cowboys are playing with aggressiveness and poise. Maybe, this will be the year they finally take a step forward.
