Chad Wheeler has become one of the most famous NFL players in recent days and not precisely because of something good he did but the exact opposite, as he made headlines for the wrong reasons you could think of.

The Seattle Seahawks offensive lineman was put in jail over the weekend after assaulting his girlfriend, whom he believed was dead at some point. Wheeler reportedly appeared in King County District Court; he was ordered to surrender all his weapons and not have any contact with the victim after the incident.

His bail was reportedly set at $400,000, which he paid, sparking a lot of reactions around the league. This was outrageous for the NFL and world of sports in general, as Wheeler almost killed his girlfriend and acted like nothing was happening.

NFL fans took to Twitter to share their anger with this situation, especially with the fact that Wheeler is still a free man and the woman could have lost her life if she didn’t call the authorities.

The Seahawks revealed that Wheeler is no longer part of the team and the NFL community is waiting to see how the league will handle this situation. This could have been worse for the victim and Wheeler is still free. In days where we should be talking about the Super Bowl and all the happiness it’ll bring, the NFL world is asking for justice for an innocent woman.
