The Washington Commanders have serious aspirations of improving on their most recent and surprising result in the NFL, and they know they have the tools to make it happen. While Terry McLaurin’s absence raised some eyebrows around the team’s facilities, Jayden Daniels is confident that the star receiver will be fully focused on what lies ahead.

As he enters the final year of his contract with the franchise, the veteran wide receiver is on the verge of resolving his contract situation. His absence from voluntary workouts hasn’t altered head coach Dan Quinn’s plans.

For his part, Daniels spoke to the media about the situation, making it clear that his teammate must first focus on resolving his contract before fully shifting his attention to football.

“Me and Terry have a good relationship outside of football,” the QB said, via a transcript from the team. “Obviously, he has to handle what he has to handle but that doesn’t change anything, the fact that he is part of our brotherhood. We know Terry is working and everything. We have to get better and he knows he has to get better each and every day.

A key part of that success will hinge on the availability and performance of star wideout Terry McLaurin and newly acquired playmaker Deebo Samuel. If both receivers are healthy and locked in, Washington could feature one of the most dynamic duos in the league.

HC Dan Quinn remains at the helm, bringing defensive toughness and veteran leadership to a young, hungry roster. However, the road won’t be easy — competing in a loaded NFC East alongside the Cowboys, Eagles, and Giants will test Washington every week. Still, the Commanders are determined to build on last year’s progress and make a serious push toward the postseason, with the ultimate dream of reaching the Super Bowl clearly in sight.
