The upcoming NFL season could be a turning point for the Atlanta Falcons, as the team looks to make a major shift after several disappointing campaigns. Raheem Morris will once again take charge from the sideline, and a recent roster move has caught the attention of both fans and analysts alike.

With the primary goal of becoming a serious contender in the NFC South — and amid ongoing uncertainty surrounding Kirk Cousins’ future in the league — the Falcons continue to build a tough, well-rounded team across all units.

As the first-team activity starts to take shape this offseason, Atlanta’s offense has added a new player to its ranks — one who’s expected to further boost the unit’s explosiveness in a key area of the field where they can do serious damage to opposing defenses.

The Falcons’ latest addition

A last-minute move took place within the franchise, bringing in a new addition to the offense — a player who will eventually be on the receiving end of passes from either Kirk Cousins or Michael Penix Jr.

According to a recent report by James Larsen of UFL Newsroom, the Atlanta Falcons have reached an agreement to sign UFL running back Jashaun Corbin. He played for the San Antonio Brahmas this spring, leading the league in rushing with 514 yards and four touchdowns on 97 carries.

One that’s leaving

The arrival of Corbin as the Falcons’ new running back triggered a specific roster move that included the departure of one of their offensive players.

According to nbcsports.com, Morris’ team made the important decision to release running back Jase McClellan. The player was drafted out of the University of Alabama with a sixth-round pick in 2024. He appeared in two games as a rookie, taking 19 offensive snaps and eight special teams snaps.
