Speaking on the Scoop City podcast, Daniel questioned Rodgers’ motivation at this stage in his career. “And now, you’re hitching your wagon to Aaron Rodgers because, well, what’s the next best thing? And if I’m Aaron, my perspective is: Aaron, what else is out there? Like, what are you trying to do? Are you trying to win? Are you just playing to make some more money? I know you’re not broke. You’re really, really rich. You’ve made a ton of money in your career,“ stated Chase Daniel.
Daniel also criticized the possibility of Aaron Rodgers moving across town to join the New York Giants. “And I just think going across town to the Giants is a downgrade…They’re a worse team, skill-wise, than the New York Jets...the offensive line isn’t great,” he added. With Rodgers already dealing with concerns about durability and protection, a move to a struggling offensive unit might not be ideal.
The Giants are coming off a disappointing season and need a franchise quarterback to lead a turnaround. Rodgers’ talent is undeniable, but doubts remain about whether he can make them true contenders. Speculation continues for now. However, as Daniel pointed out, if Rodgers is serious about winning, the Giants may not be his best option.
