It's been a rough start of the 2020NFL season, to say the least. Through two weeks, we've already witnessed countless injuries, many of them with the players done for the season, as it happened to New York Giants' superstar Saquon Barkley.

The former second overall pick, which is considered by much as the best running back in the league right now, sustained an ACL injury in the second quarter of his team's loss to the Chicago Bears and will miss the remainder of the season.

This was a major blow for the Giants' aspirations in the division, as even though Daniel Jones has looked much better in this first couple of games, there's just no way they can compete with the Dallas Cowboys without their superstar running back, even if they get him a solid replacement like Devonta Freeman.

Giants' Saquon Barkley pays the ultimate tribute to Kobe Bryant following ACL injury

But far from crying over the spilled milk, the former Penn State standout channeled his inner Black Mamba on Instagram to let everybody know that he's going to come back stronger than ever, deleting all of his posts except for a pic of Kobe Bryant.

Kobe was known around the sports community for his resiliency and constant desire to compete at the highest level while inspiring those who came behind him. In fact, he overcame that very same injury towards the sunset of his career and proved all those who thought he couldn't play anymore that he was still an elite athlete.

Hopefully, that'll also be the case with Saquon Barkley once he's back at full strength and ready to suit up again. Those kinds of knee injuries can be devastating for a career, especially if the players shy away from the contact out of fear of getting hurt again.
