Aaron Rodgers left more questions than answers during his interview on The Pat McAfee Show. However, according to a report by Dianna Russini, one thing remains very clear: the quarterback does not see the Pittsburgh Steelers as a championship-caliber team.
âI think retirement is probably bigger than what weâre probably leaning into. Based on how he sounded. Iâm sure he didnât really love this whole experience anyways. The free agency for him was new and to be courted this way Iâm sure was awesome, but, I donât necessarily think he believes the Steelers are a team that he can win a Super Bowl with.â
If this scenario is true, Rodgers would be practically backed into a corner with no more options. His only paths would be retirement or a last-minute call to play for a Super Bowl contender.
Is Aaron Rodgers retiring from the NFL?
According to what Russini mentioned, Aaron Rodgers retiring from the NFL seems like the main option after the interview with McAfee. The only thing that could change that decision is a call from his friend Kevin OâConnell.
Despite Rodgers saying heâs not waiting on the Vikings, the insider believes he wouldnât turn down that offer if it came. âI have a hard time imagining heâs saying ânoâ if Kevinâs calling him going: come be a Minnesota Viking and start for us.â
