The Atlanta Falcons have reiterated that they are ready to trade Kirk Cousins. The teamâs general manager, Terry Fontenot, warned that they will be aggressive if the Pittsburgh Steelers pursue the veteran due to the uncertainty caused by Aaron Rodgers. It all happened during an interview with Adam Schein.
âIf something comes to us, with Kirk or any other player that makes sense and itâs going to help this team, then weâre going to be aggressive and weâre going to do it. We just have to be patient there. Weâre always open. Not just talking about Kirk, but really anybody on our roster.â
Itâs important to mention that the Minnesota Vikings are no longer an option for Cousins, as Kevin OâConnell already got Sam Howell as J.J. McCarthyâs backup. Given this scenario, the only alternative for Kirk to play is the Steelers.
What team did Kirk Cousins get traded to?
Kirk Cousins has not been traded by the Falcons, but as the weeks go by, rumors continue to grow about the possibility that the Pittsburgh Steelers might pursue him if Aaron Rodgers still doesnât give an answer.
After what happened in the 2025 Draft, Cousins has lost potential suitors like the Cleveland Browns, the New York Giants, and the Minnesota Vikings. In a highly unlikely scenario, the Titans could have him as a backup and mentor to Cam Ward, but it would be essentially the same situation heâs currently facing with the Falcons and Michael Penix Jr.

Thatâs why the Steelers are the only place where Cousins could have a real chance to be a starter, considering the depth chart consists of Mason Rudolph, Skylar Thompson, and rookie Will Howard. Everything will depend on Aaron Rodgers to activate that option.
