Jordan Love and Matt LaFleur will be looking to reach new heights with the Green Bay Packers in the 2025 NFL season. Fortunately, the duo will be counting on the return of familiar faces to build on what they achieved in the last two years.
The NFL’s daily transaction report from Monday shows that Packers defensive lineman Arron Mosby signed his exclusive rights tender, securing his return to Green Bay next year. His signing came a month after the Packers tendered him as an exclusive rights free agent.
Mosby, who will turn 26 on April 13, is entering this third year with the Packers. He joined the team in 2023, the same year LaFleur promoted Love to QB1 after Aaron Rodgers’ departure to the New York Jets.
After spending much of that season on the practice squad, Mosby saw a bigger role in 2024, making 16 appearances with the Packers. In those games, he recorded 12 tackles, a tackle for loss, a half-sack, two quarterback hits, and two passes defended. He also saw action in the playoffs, contributing with a tackle in the Wild Card loss to eventual Super Bowl champions Philadelphia Eagles.

Arron Mosby #53 of the Green Bay Packers waves to fans after beating the Seattle Seahawks at Lumen Field on December 15, 2024 in Seattle, Washington.
An undrafted free agent out of Fresno State, Mosby spent his first season as a pro with the Carolina Panthers, but it appears that Green Bay has become his home in the NFL. This year, he’ll be looking to prove the team right.

Another familiar face returning to the Packers
Mosby is not the first player returning to Green Bay for the 2025 NFL season. The Packers had already brought back a familiar face for Love by tendering offensive tackle Kadeem Telfort.
Just like Mosby, he entered the league as an undrafted free agent but in 2023, with the Packers becoming his first team in the NFL. Telfort also played 16 games last year, with 79 snaps on special teams and 23 in offense.
An interesting season ahead in Green Bay
Rodgers’ exit after 18 years with the team appeared to be a huge threat for the Packers, but the team’s response was impressive. Love overachieved in his first year as the starter by helping Green Bay upset the Dallas Cowboys in the 2024 Wild Card round, proving that the quarterback position might be in safe hands.
And even though the Packers lost to the eventual champions last year, the fact that they failed to get past the Wild Card felt bittersweet. Therefore, everyone at Lambeau Field expects to see a big leap in 2025.

LaFleur and company won’t have it easy though, with the Detroit Lions, Minnesota Vikings, and Chicago Bears promising to put up a fight in the NFC North. We’ll have to wait and see what the Packers have in store after two promising years.
