It’s now official: J.K. Dobbins has found a new team for the upcoming season after reaching a deal with the Denver Broncos. With this move, the talented running back is set to form an intriguing duo alongside quarterback Bo Nix.

The news was confirmed by NFL insider Tom Pelissero, who announced the agreement between the former Ohio State Buckeyes star and Sean Payton’s team through his official X account (formerly Twitter).

“J.K. Dobbins, the Comeback Player of the Year finalist, is signing with the #Broncos on a one-year, $5.25 million deal, sources tell me and @RapSheet. Still only 26, Dobbins had over 1,000 yards from scrimmage and 9 TDs in 13 games last season with the #Chargers,” the insider reported via @TomPelissero.

J.K. Dobbins’ move to Denver is undoubtedly a tough loss for the Chargers, as he brought explosiveness and versatility to their backfield. However, the team isn’t left empty-handed. They’ve built depth at the position and have options ready to step in.

The spotlight now shifts to Najee Harris, the former Steelers standout, who is expected to take on a bigger role in Los Angeles. Alongside him is rookie Omarion Hampton, a promising draft pick eager to make an early impact and prove he belongs in the league.

Despite the departure of Dobbins, head coach Jim Harbaugh remains confident in his offense, especially with Justin Herbert under center. The Chargers believe they have the right mix of talent to stay competitive in the AFC, even with this key change in the backfield.
