Patrick Mahomes finally spoke about the possibility of playing one last time alongside Travis Kelce with the Kansas City Chiefs. According to the star quarterback, at least based on what was seen in OTAs and the offseason, it doesn’t seem like this is the prelude to retirement for the legendary tight end.

“If it’s the last ride, you would never know. I mean, the way he’s talking about football, the way he’s talking about working and trying to be even better this year than he was last year. He doesn’t seem like a guy that it’s his last ride or like he’s tired of the job. He’s in here. He’s working.”

Kelce decided to come back to seek redemption after the last Super Bowl that the Chiefs lost against the Philadelphia Eagles. However, no one knows if this is really the last dance for the veteran.

Is Travis Kelce retiring?

No. Travis Kelce is not retiring and will complete his final year of contract with the Kansas City Chiefs. Patrick Mahomes didn’t hide his surprise upon seeing that his friend is actually keeping the promise he made a few weeks ago to be in the best physical shape of his career.

“I know his body feels good. I think it feels better than even last year before going into last season just because I think he’s motivated to go out there and have an even better year than he had this last.”
