âI actually texted Shedeur because I know him very well and I said: âDude, like whatever happens, wherever you go, thatâs your first day. Day 2 matters more than the draft.â I was 199. So, who can speak on it better than me? Like what that really means. Use it as motivation, youâre going to get your chances, go take advantage of it.â
For many weeks, several reports suggested that teams like the Pittsburgh Steelers might have been interested in selecting Shedeur in the first round. However, the Colorado star fell all the way to the fifth round, where he was eventually picked by the Browns.
