The Minnesota Vikings have placed Rondale Moore on injured reserve, which means his 2025 season is officially over. A tough blow for head coach Kevin O’Connell and his offense led by J.J. McCarthy.
Moore suffered the knee injury on a kick return during the Vikings’ first preseason game against the Houston Texans. For the second year in a row, just like in 2024 when he played for the Falcons, an injury of this nature will sideline him for the entire season.
Although many experts consider Minnesota to have a Super Bowl caliber roster, the wide receiver position has suddenly weakened. Jordan Addison was suspended for three games, and with Moore’s injury, the depth chart is full of uncertainty, with Justin Jefferson as the only star name to start the season.

Rondale Moore suffered a severe injury to his left knee after being tackled in a controversial manner by Jamal Hill of the Houston Texans on a kick return during the second quarter.
While he was falling after being tackled near the sideline, Moore’s knee got caught on the ground, creating a levering motion that caused the injury. Now, the wide receiver is out for the entire season.
