The Pittsburgh Steelers are among the many NFL teams looking to strengthen their roster in the best possible way, with the main goal of returning to the Super Bowl. To achieve this, Mike Tomlin’s squad quickly finalized the arrival of DK Metcalf from the Seahawks, and it was none other than his former teammate, Russell Wilson, who made a clear statement on the matter.

While the quarterback situation in Pittsburgh still has an uncertain future, he is confident in resolving it in the most positive way possible. After sending a message to Metcalf on his social media, he hinted that, for now, he will remain a Steeler.

“I see you homie! We love you guys! @Ciara & I are so proud of yall two love birds! @dkm14 & @Normani,” Wilson stated via @DangeRussWilson.

It’s worth noting that both Russell Wilson and DK Metcalf were teammates on the Seattle Seahawks from 2019 to 2021 under head coach Pete Carroll, before the quarterback’s departure to the Denver Broncos.

There has been much talk in recent days about the potential arrival of Aaron Rodgers to the Steelers, which would certainly put Wilson’s situation in jeopardy regarding his future with the team. However, the veteran quarterback, a Super Bowl champion with the Packers, is still weighing his next move.

Besides Pittsburgh, some reports have indicated serious interest from both the New York Giants and the Minnesota Vikings in bringing Rodgers on board. If either of these options materializes, Wilson’s path will be cleared to remain the starting QB for Mike Tomlin‘s team.

It will be a matter of waiting to see what finally happens with both quarterbacks, who already know what it’s like to lift a Vince Lombardi trophy, and are determined to do it once again next season.
