It’s not a secret that Deshaun Watson wants nothing to do with the Houston Texans anymore. He’s openly demanded a trade and some around the NFL believe that he’s played his last snap with the team already.

However, it seems like the team isn’t ready to give up on their franchise quarterback. If anything, they’re willing to play the waiting game and force him to pad up while he’s still under contract, or at least they want everybody else to think that.

So, now that we’ve seen the trade value that came with players like Matthew Stafford and Carson Wentz, you could only imagine what would take to get a young superstar like Deshaun Watson to be moved.

That’s why NBC Sports’ senior writer Peter King took the time to put together the only 4 trade offers that would be appealing enough for the Texans to actually be willing to move on from the Clemson product.

The Only Trades That Could Get Deshaun Watson

Minnesota Vikings

Trade Offer: San Francisco sends Jimmy Garoppolo and a 1st round pick to Houston. Kirk Cousins goes to San Francisco. Anthony Barr, Alexander Mattison, a 2021 and 2023 1st round pick, a2022 2nd round pick go to Houston. Deshaun Watson goes to Minnesota. Houston getJimmy Garoppolo, Anthony Barr, Alexander Mattison, two 2021 1st round picks, a 2022 2nd round pick, a 2023 1st round pick, and two 2nd round picks.

The Minnesota Vikings are a pretty good team but there’s one player holding them back, and that’s Kirk Cousins. No disrespect towards Cousins whatsoever but he’s not a superstar and they can’t seem to trust him when it matters the most.

This way, the Texans would get a plethora of picks, plus Jimmy Garoppolo and two solid players in return. Cousins would go to San Francisco, and the Vikings would get a cornerstone to build around him and Dalvin Cook.

New York Jets

Trade Offer: Houston getSam Darnold, Quinnen Williams, 1st round picks in 202and 2022, plus 2nd round picks in 2021and 2023.

Some people aren’t ready to give up on Sam Darnold just yet and that may be the right approach for now. The New York Jets, however, know that they need an improvement right away if they want to put an end to their everlasting struggles.

This way, the Texans would get a solid linesman and a potential franchise quarterback plus 2 first-round picks (including the 2nd overall this season), which seems like a fair return. New York would still need to make some moves but they have plenty of cap space and a new coach.

San Francisco 49ers

Trade Offer: Houston get Jimmy Garoppolo, Fred Warner,Mike McGlinchey, 1st round picks in 2021and 2022, plus a 2nd round pick in 2021 and 3rd round pick in 2022.

The San Francisco 49ers are reportedly ready to move on from Jimmy Garoppolo if they find a way to land Watson. Sadly, they’d have to part ways with Fred Warner and Mike McGlinchey as well if they really want to land the 25-year-old.

Needless to say, that would be a massive haul for the Texans, but San Francisco would become an instant Super Bowl contender, even if they end up losing Richard Sherman in free agency as expected.

Carolina Panthers

Trade Offer:Houston get Christian McCaffrey, Teddy Bridgewater, Robbie Anderson, and a 1st round and 2nd round picks in 2021, a 1st round pick in 2022, and a 3rd round pick in 2023.

And thebest trade offer the Houston Texans could get for Deshaun Watson comes from the Carolina Panthers. They’re reportedly eager to enter Watson’s sweepstakes and have already made a couple of cap-clearing moves to make a run at him.

The catch is that the Panthers would have to give away arguably the best running back in the game in Christian McCaffrey, let alone multiple picks. That’s an offer no one could turn down, even if it’s for Deshaun Watson.
