The Panthers are favorites to achieve a historic three-peat in the 2025-2026 NHL season. Their core group of stars remains intact with Brad Marchand, Aaron Ekblad, and Matthew Tkachuk.

After two consecutive victories against Connor McDavid and the Edmonton Oilers in the Stanley Cup final, many thought the Panthers would fall apart. However, general manager Bill Zito did an extraordinary job.

However, the factor that could derail their championship hopes is injuries. Less than two months before the start of the new season, the Florida Panthers have lost one of their stars for an extended period of time.

Who got injured with Panthers?

Matthew Tkachuk is out for the start of the 2025-2026 season with the Florida Panthers due to an adductor injury and a hernia. The information was confirmed by a report from David Pagnotta.

“Can confirm Matthew Tkachuk underwent surgery a few weeks ago and will miss the start of the season. Timeline is unclear, but he could be out of action as long as sometime in January.”
